Our Crew
Who we are as a journalism team
The crew is a collection of upperclassmen studying different areas of journalism and media communications. Using each niche passion or vocational skillset, the team plays differing roles including videography, photography, writing, narrating, producing, and editing in order to produce multiple mediums of content, working up to the feature-length documentary, “Don’t Forget Us.” Our wonderful advisor, Asbury Journalism Professor, Rich Manieri, leads the process as the Executive Producer and Writer for the documentary and its various media projects.
Our Story
Rich Manieri initially approached students Lucy Bryson, Madi Anderson, and Maddie Heineman with an idea of producing a feature documentary in Europe, following the annual Human Dignity Tour. Immediately after the proposal, the team assembled forming talented journalists and videographers to make Manieri’s vision a reality. Gracie Turner, the documentary’s director and editor, signed on along with Michael McClellan to form the “Don’t Forget Us” documentary crew.
