Our Asbury University media team of five began the “Don’t Forget Us” pre-production process nearly a year before arriving in Europe. With the documentary’s advisor Rich Manieri, filming preparations such as team building, scriptwriting, shot listing, and content education allowed the team to create a workflow to allow deep contemplation and authentic reactions on site. While in Germany and Poland, our crew toured concentration camps and museums such as Sachsenhausen, Ravensbrück, and Auschwitz to create a multi-media account of the students’ perspectives when delving into such an unforgiving and uncomfortable topic.
